Helping North Texans Erase Criminal Records

Protect Your Rights As A Gun Owner, Protect Your Future

Texas has a reputation as a gun-friendly state, but it still prosecutes gun crimes very harshly. If you are found guilty of a gun offense, you could stand to lose your right to carry a firearm for the rest of your life.

At Jarvis & Hamilton Law Firm, our team of attorneys understands how serious the charges against you are. As former prosecutors, Bob Jarvis and Matt Hamilton have handled gun crimes from both sides. Armed with this knowledge, they can build a strong and persuasive case to protect your rights in the criminal justice system.

They have successfully handled cases involving:

  • Unlawful carrying of a weapon
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
  • Disorderly conduct involving a firearm

When your rights are at stake, you can rely on the aggressive defense of Jarvis & Hamilton Law Firm to protect you.

What To Know About Carrying A Handgun Without A License

Texas now allows residents to carry a handgun without a license – with a few notable exceptions. Unlicensed carrying is prohibited for people who:

  • Are under the age of 21
  • Are at least 18 years old but are not serving in the military
  • Have a criminal record
  • Have a chemical dependency
  • Are barred from purchasing a firearm under federal law

If the state finds you in violation of these restrictions, you face high fines, the restriction of your gun ownership rights and even jail time. We can help you understand your rights and explain the penalties you face if convicted.
